More police misconduct

This is just fucking sickening. I can say, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, that since the cop turned off the camera, he's guilty as sin.

Zeitgeist

This is a full two hour movie. It's a documentary dealing with politics, religion, terrorism, and the bleak future we have been traveling toward for the past 100 years, now.

I highly recommend this.

Speeding ticket taser

I'm outraged.

A Utah Highway Patrolman tasers man in front of his pregnant wife and baby over an alleged speeding ticket. Outraged? Call the Vernal, Utah UHP Office and let them know!

Health Inspector

Last post for today, since it's my birthday* and I want to get on with other things.

This is a political post. It may only be interesting to me, but I want to share it.

A man was doing work on his house and property. It was all being done in his back yard, which is not visible from the street. A health inspector received an anonymous complaint, an came to check it out. They insisted to be let into the back yard to inspect and photograph it. The homeowner (who is video taping this) would not consent and asked her to leave. She called police to escort her back. The officer, without a warrant, and knowing the homeowner does not want them on his property, told her to go anyway, and trespass. The police officer actually encouraged for the health inspector to break the law and told the homeowner he was in the wrong.

This is a shameful abuse of power, and really disgusting to see. I really wish I knew the outcome of this guy's lawsuit, but at least I could see this video.

Always wear a helmet. Specifically a full-face one. I say that as someone who rides 80 miles a day, every day, year round.

The guy in this video robbed a bank, then negotiated a motorcycle to get away on. Too bad the cops in Spain play rough!

The Death of Free Speech

Freedom of speech is the most basic right in this country, yet we're failing to protect it more and more. This is a horrible example of what I'm talking about.



Yes, this guy is a douche, but he did NOTHING wrong. There is no reason for the cops to try to arrest him. There's no reason for them to take six officers to try and restrain him without answering the most basic question of, "Why are you arresting me?" There is absolutely no reason to use a taser on him.

This video makes me sick to my stomach.

Again, the guy may be a douche, but basic rights are basic rights. The freedom of speech was enacted to protect unpopular opinions just like this kid's. Don't ever forget that.

UPDATE: I didn't catch this initially, but Rachel brought it up. You can hear Kerry in the background saying, "Stop! I want to answer his question!" That makes this even more sick.

Stoned News Reporter

One of my all-time favorites. Here's a great blooper from a Brittish news reporter. He was doing a report on a huge drug bust, where the wares were being burned. Problem is, when you burn pot and coca leaves, the smoke gets you REALLY high!

It's a shame that people don't respect police officers anymore. Unfortunately, it's because of cops like this.
